You Have Questions, We Have Answers
Who is this event for?

This workshop is for any business owner who wants to protect what they've built — whether you run a brick-and-mortar shop, an online business, a rental property operation, or a professional practice. Even if you're a solo entrepreneur or just getting started, you'll walk away with practical steps to secure your business and your family.

Do I need to already have an LLC or business entity to attend?

No — and this event is especially helpful if you don't. You'll learn how business entities protect you personally, how to avoid common mistakes when setting them up, and what planning can still be done without one.

I don't have employees — will this still apply to me?

Yes! Even solo business owners and professionals need a plan to keep things running if something happens to them. We'll cover how to make sure your income continues, your clients are supported, and your assets are protected, whether you have a team or not.

Is this only for big or established businesses?

Not at all. Whether your business brings in $50,000 or $5 million, the legal principles of protection are the same. You'll learn how to right-size your plan for your stage of growth and your unique goals.

What kinds of professionals benefit from this workshop?

We regularly serve and educate business owners from all industries — doctors, dentists, therapists, realtors, attorneys, consultants, builders, restaurant owners, Airbnb hosts — you name it! If you earn income through a business, this event will help you protect it.

Does the workshop apply to rental property owners, too?

Yes. If you own rental properties — long-term or short-term — you're running a business, even if it doesn't feel like one. We'll discuss how to protect those assets from liability and make sure they pass smoothly to your loved ones.

What if I already have a will or trust?

That's a great start! You'll learn how to update and integrate your existing plan so that it actually protects your business — something most generic estate plans overlook.

Is there a cost to attend?

No! The event is completely free — we just ask that you register so we can plan for seating and refreshments.

What's the schedule for the morning?

☕ 8:45 – 9:00 AM — Light refreshments and networking
👩‍⚖️ 9:00 – 10:00 AM — Lisa C. Thompson: Top Mistakes Business Owners Make (and How to Fix Them)
🕒 10:00 – 10:15 AM — Short break
📜 10:15 – 11:15 AM — Ashley DeBoard: Estate Planning for Business Owners — Protecting Every Chapter of Your Story

Will there be time for questions?

Absolutely! Both presenters will take questions during and after their sessions, and the Flagstaff Law Group team will be available after to help schedule appointments for those desiring one-on-one conversations.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself, a notepad if you like to jot down ideas, and your curiosity. We'll provide light refreshments and a worksheet to help you map out your next steps.

Can I bring my business partner or spouse?

Absolutely — we encourage it! Business and estate planning are most effective when the key decision-makers are on the same page. Please just indicate the number of attendees accordingly when you register.

What if I can't attend in person?

This event is designed as an in-person workshop for local business owners to connect and ask questions live. If you can't make it, be on the lookout for future events that work for your schedule.
